(Norman-AP) -- Oklahoma runningback Quentin Griffin has posted some impressive numbers this season.

Now his coach says it's time people started looking at the diminutive back as a Heisman Trophy candidate.

OU coach Bob Stoops says Griffin should be receiving as much consideration as anyone else.

Griffin has rushed for 950 yards on 141 carries this season.

In the last three games against Texas, Iowa State and Colorado he had 487 yards.
