Texas 27, Nebraska 24

In Lincoln, Chris Simms passed for a career-high 419 yards, and Nathan Vasher intercepted Jammal Lord's pass at the 1-yard line in the closing seconds to give No. 4 Texas a win over Nebraska.

Until Saturday, Nebraska had won 74 of its previous 75 home games. Texas, led by coach Mack Brown, is the only team to win at Memorial in all that time.

Texas: 8-1, 4-1. Nebraska: 6-4, 2-3.

Texas Tech 62, Baylor 11

In Lubbock, Texas Tech bounced back from last week's loss to Colorado with a victory over Baylor.

Kliff Kingsbury threw for three touchdowns, 373 yards and moved past Louisville's Chris Redman in NCAA Division IA career passing attempts before being replaced midway through the third quarter.

Texas Tech: 6-4, 3-2 . Baylor 3-6, 1-4.

Oklahoma St. 28, Texas A&M 23

In Stillwater, Tatum Bell rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns, and Vernon Grant intercepted a pass in the end zone with a minute remaining as Oklahoma State beat Texas A&M.

Bell scored from 64, 5 and 2 yards as the Cowboys defeated a traditional conference power for the second time in as many games. The Cowboys beat Texas A&M for the first time since 1988, a span of six straight losses.

Oklahoma St: 4-4, 2-2. Texas A&M: 5-4, 2-3.

Oklahoma 27, Colorado 11

In Norman, Chris Brown became the first back in four seasons to gain 100 yards against No. 1 Oklahoma, but the Sooners came up with four turnovers and turned back three fourth-quarter drives in their win over No. 18 Colorado.

With their third straight victory over a ranked team, the Sooners justified their position atop the Bowl Championship Series ratings, which determine who will play for the national title.

Oklahoma: 8-0, 4-0. Colorado 6-3, 4-1.

Iowa St. 42, Missouri 35

Iowa State has learned that with Seneca Wallace running things, anything is possible.

Wallace made things happen in Ames, setting a school record with 493 total yards and directing a 93-yard touchdown drive with time running out.

No. 21 Iowa State broke a two-game losing streak, became bowl eligible for the third straight year and stayed in contention for the league's North Division title.

Iowa St: 7-3, 4-2. Missouri 4-5, 1-4.

Kansas St. 64, Kansas 0

In Lawrence, Ell Roberson ran for three touchdowns and threw for another _ all before halftime _ as No. 12 Kansas State routed the Jayhawks.

``I didn't think it would be this easy, but if you have an offense that's clicking and a defense that can shut them out, it can happen,'' Roberson said.

The Wildcats had five touchdown drives of 1 minute or less and outgained Kansas 494-115 in the most lopsided game in series history.

Kansas: 2-8, 0-6. Kansas St: 7-2, 3-2.
