(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Oklahoma's largest horse track is getting a new boss after its general manager resigned.
Frank Deal confirmed Sunday that he had quit at Oklahoma City's Remington Park. Deal's not saying why he resigned or what he'll do in the future.
Eugene Joyce has been named interim general manager and R-D Logan has been named interim assistant manager by Corey Johnsen, a former Remington Park assistant general manager and now general manager of Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas.
The Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission last week gave Remington Park 20 dates for quarter horse, paint and appaloosa racing. Remington Park officials had asked to discontinue quarter horse racing because they say the track needs to cut costs.
