A 71-year-old Tulsa County man is the first Oklahoman to die from West Nile.
He apparently contracted the virus from a blood transfusion he received after a bone marrow transplant at M-D Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
After another West Nile death there.. health officials say a unit of blood tested positive.
The CDC is investigating 29 transfusion-related cases in 14 states.
