Some local students spent the day helping those in need. Seniors from Jenks High School joined forces with "Rebuilding Together Tulsa", a nonprofit group that assists elderly and disabled people by repairing their existing homes.
Tuesday, the students tore up the kitchen floor so it could be replaced, scraped and primed the house for painting, and trimmed the brush. Anna Brown, homeowner, “they walked in working and they've been busy nonstop. They're not goofing off like you expect teenagers to do, they're working hard and I appreciate that so much."
The Home Depot will complete repairs on the home later this month.
