(Oklahoma City-AP) -- What was supposed to be silent test of Oklahoma City's tornado siren system scared many metro-area residents out of their beds early Sunday morning.
The shrill alarms sounded about one-thirty Sunday morning in what would have otherwise been a quiet, cool night.
Oklahoma City Police say it was a mistake, but their phones have been flooded with calls from people who are wondering about the alarms.
The sirens are usually tested every Saturday at noon.
