KUWAIT (AP) _ Two unidentified people were shot and killed, and two U.S. military personnel were injured Tuesday during U.S.-Kuwaiti war games, a Kuwaiti official said.

Ministry of Defense spokesman Brig. Ahmed al-Rahmani said he could not immediately give the names or provide the nationalities of the two dead. He said the two injured Americans were in stable condition.

â€œIt was an incident. An investigation is ongoing,â€ al-Rahmani said.

He said the shooting occurred on Failaka Island off Kuwait's coast.
