People have been signing up for the state's Do Not Call list by the thousands.

Lots of them have registered their phone numbers here at the AARP booth at the Tulsa State Fair. Lois Smith is one of many volunteers helping folks get their phone numbers registered. She says one frequently asked question is "will this work?" "I say that it's work a try. It's a new law, we don't know for sure whether it's going to work but we can certainly give it a try."

If you'd like to give it a try, the booth is located on the lower level of the IPE building.

The AARP volunteers will be out there through Sunday evening.
