Bishop Carlton Pearson of Tulsa's Higher Dimensions Church is explaining and defending his controversial new theology.
Pearson is hosting a conference at his church at 8600 S Memorial. About 150 people attended it Wednesday. Pearson has come under fire in charismatic circles for preaching that all people are saved by Christ - not just those who choose to be.
Bishop Carlton Pearson, Higher Dimensions Church: "I've not had one Hindu, one Buddhist, Muslim or one Jew reject the Jesus I present. I'm trying to present Jesus as the savior of the world. I don't have trouble getting the world to believe it, I'm having trouble getting church folk to believe it."
The theology is called the "gospel of inclusion" - a belief that a personal decision isn't a requirement to spend eternity in heaven. Pearson's conference continues through Friday.
