(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Oklahoma will be getting more money to help fight drugs and to investigate methamphetamine labs.
Congressman Ernest Istook said today that six counties in the state have been designated as High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas. The designation means an extra 250-thousand dollars in federal funding to fight drugs.
The six counties are Oklahoma, Tulsa, Cleveland, Comanche, Muskogee and Sequoyah.
Officials with the Drug Enforcement Administration say Oklahoma ranks in the top four among the 50 states in the number of methamphetamine labs.
