(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Oklahoma Representative Brad Carson says President Bush views war against Iraq as ``the last option'' but a necessary one to protect the world.

Carson was part of a select group of House members that Bush spoke to at the White House today.

Carson says he was impressed with Bush's sincerity and conviction during the talks.

Bush says he is close to an agreement with Congress on a resolution authorizing action against Iraq.

Carson predicts the House will debate and approve a resolution on use of force sometime next week.
