Members Oklahoma's Air National Guard came home Tuesday morning after deployment in Kuwait.
The 138th Security Forces Squadron arrived at the Tulsa International Airport to a gathering of family and friends.
News on Six reporter Patrina Adger was there and says it was definitely an emotional homecoming as they welcomed home their heroes. "Look, there he is.†His two sons, his wife and his mother greeted Senior Airman Raymond Viel Tuesday morning.
Viel is one of the 12 members of the Oklahoma Air National Guard sent to Kuwait for a 90-day deployment defending the Al Jaber Air Base. Viel says he's happy to be home. He missed his son's birthday and his first day of kindergarten. He says the hardest thing about being away was leaving his family behind. "Words can't explain it. Longtime to be without family."
