(Joplin, Mo.-AP) -- Oklahoma State's men's cross country team finished in eleventh place at the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Missouri.

Trey Vernon, a senior who had taken the last season off, made a strong comeback among competitive runners. He finished in 13th place.

The Cowboys will be off until October fifth when they will host the Cowboy Jamboree.
