(Guymon, Oklahoma -AP) -- State officials are no longer imposing a burn ban on the drought-stricken Texas County.

Governor Keating lifted the county's burn ban last week after the state agriculture department said the county had sufficient moisture in it's soil.

The county has received more than two inches of rain in the last month, an inch of that come from last week's storms.

Texas County's fourteen-month burn ban is the longest on record.

That region of the Panhandle has been struggling with drought since last summer.
