A woman in charge of disciplinary action in the Liberty-Mounds school district is in trouble herself.

Authorities arrested 50-year-old Melanie Allphin in Mounds this week on a complaint of possessing more than 50 grams of methamphetamine with the intent of distributing the drug.

Authorities also arrested another man, 47-year-old Richard Jones. He's being held without bail in the Muskogee County jail.

The Liberty-Mounds School superintendent says the district hasn't taken any action against Allphin, but that she has not returned to work since her arrest.
