STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ A judge has denied a prosecutor's request to increase bail for two Oklahoma State University basketball players arrested after a fight outside a What-a-Burger.
Anthony Allen, 19, and Cheyne Carlyle Gadson, 22, are free on personal recognizance bonds pending an October hearing.
Prosecutor Mike Stano had asked that bail be increased to $1,500 for the athletes.
Allen, a guard who is a recent junior college transfer from Chicago, is charged with resisting an officer for allegedly running from police and repeatedly pulling away from an officer who was trying to handcuff him after he was arrested for assault and battery.
Gadson, a guard entering his senior year, is charged with obstructing an officer for allegedly disobeying an officer's repeated command to get back by approaching the officer and screaming at him and by attempting to push past the officer, according to the charge.
No one was injured during the Friday melee, which drew as many as 400 people and about 25 officers.
