Some drivers are using neighborhood streets as speedways.
So now Tulsa city leaders are trying to come up with a plan to put the brakes on.
Some neighborhods all ready have speed bumps. But now the city is looking at another alternative, a speed hump.
So Instead of slowing to almost a stop you can drive over a speed hump at about 20 to 25 miles per hour.
Right now city leaders are not only trying to find appropriate ways to get drivers to put on the brakes they're also trying to create a standard for who gets what.
City leaders don't have all the details hammered out yet for what they're calling the "traffic calming plan."
Neighborhoods that include schools will be a priority but they haven't decided which ones to address first.
City leaders are looking at several other communities, including Broken Arrow, to see how the plan might work.
