Some Tulsa college students are starting the new school year in a new building.
This is Tulsa Community College Southeast Campus' new Science and Math building. The 57,000 square foot building will house mostly freshman and sophomore math and sciences.
It has 22 new classrooms, along with new offices and labs, some of which were designed by faculty members. School leaders say the $16-million facility was built with the students in mind. Audrey Rose, Associate Dean, "The concept was to make this as student friendly a building as possible. To make the learning for the student as easy as possible."
Finishing touches are being made to the parking lot, and school leaders say desks are on the way.
