(Norman-AP) -- Oklahoma men's basketball team will face nine NCAA tournament teams this year.

The schedule released Tuesday pits the men's basketball team against some of college basketball's top teams.

The Sooners will face Mississippi in December and Michigan State in January.

The Michigan State will be in the Ford Center.

Coach Kelvin Sampson says this season's schedule is one of the Sooners' toughest in his nine years with the team.

The Sooners open their season against Alabama on November 14th in New York City.
