(Carlisle, Pennsylvania-AP) -- Representative J-C Watts says there's a good reason he retired from football 16 years ago.
The former OU quarterback pulled a hamstring, tumbled to the ground and was carted off the field Monday while running sprints with the Washington Redskins.
Watts was invited by the team's owner Dan Snyder to join the players in a workout. He joined the receivers and defensive backs for some end-of-practice wind sprints when the injury struck.
Watts says the pulled hamstring reminds him of why he got out of football in 1986.
The 44-year-old Congressman spent 15 minutes in the training room getting iced down.
