The Tulsa Area United Way is marking September 11th in a special way. The non-profit organization has moved their annual "day of caring" to the anniversary of the September 11th attacks.
It is an answer to President Bush's call for volunteerism in remembrance of those lives lost. Bob Thomas with the Tulsa Area United Way, "I can't wait for September the 11th to occur so we can all share really in that day and commemorate community building."
The Tulsa Area United Way also unveiled the logo for the 11-th annual Day of Caring. It features a sketch of an Indian statue called "The Great Spirit." The statue can be found in Woodward Park.
