(Oklahoma City-AP) -- State Capitol officials say the Capitol dome has helped increase tourism visits by 300 percent.
Officials say the dome and ``Guardian'' statue that sits atop it helped bring in four-thousand-549 registered visitors to the Capital this June. In June 2001, there were one-thousand-175 visitors.
The manager of the Capitol Welcome Center says summers are usually slow.
Jolane Reimer says the dome is definitely the reason for this summer's increase.
