In the midst of sexual misconduct allegations, Father Ken Lewis decided to speak out Tuesday.

During a news conference at his Tulsa lawyer's office, Father Ken Lewis denied any sexual contact with young people and said his demonstrative show of caring has been grossly misinterpreted. "To one observer, my caring was too personal and we discussed it at length and I was cleared and I have never had any sexual contact with any young person.â€

After the allegations surfaced in 1994, Father Lewis underwent counseling and was transferred to another parish outside of Tulsa. He has not been charged with a crime. Father Lewis resigned from St. John's Church in McAlester last month.
