HOBART, Okla. (AP) _ Police on Wednesday arrested a man in the shooting of four youngsters, ranging in age from 9 to 17.
Aaron Scallion Jr., 22, was being held Wednesday night in the Kiowa County jail, authorities said.
An arrest warrant also was issued for Skyler Andrew Moses, 18, said Kym Koch, a spokeswoman for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
The victims suffered minor injuries when they were hit by buckshot after a fight between two other Hobart teenagers on Tuesday, Koch said.
Cameron Kennedy, 17, Jabaree Steel, 12 and J.J. Carruthers, 9 were treated for wounds to their arms and legs and released late Tuesday from a Hobart hospital, Koch said.
Tahiyson Carruthers, 11, was struck in the neck and spent Tuesday night in a Lawton hospital. She was released on Wednesday.
The fight between two teenagers, 17 and 19, sparked the shooting, Koch said. The mother of the 17-year-old broke up the fight, she said.
Two other individuals not involved in the fight then showed up at the house around 5:30 p.m. and fired shots at the 17-year-old but missed, Koch said.
The four wounded youngsters were sitting on the front porch, Koch said. They were struck by stray buckshot, she said.
The OSBI has recovered the weapon thought to be used in the shooting, Koch said.
