(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Major League Soccer officials say Oklahoma City is prime target for expansion of the seven-year-old pro league.
MLS's chief operating officer says the city is ideal because there are no other major-league teams in the state.
Mark Abbott says a move might hinge on the question of facilities. Abbott says the league is looking for a city prepared to build a top-notch stadium.
Abbott says MLS is eyeing a 22-thousand seat stadium where the soccer team would be the main tenant.
Several Oklahoma City locals have expressed interest in building a stadium and owning a team, including the firm that owns the Oklahoma City Blazers hockey team.
