Haz-mat research at OSU

Researchers at Oklahoma State University are doing their part to help fight terrorism.
They are trying to come up with a way to keep haz-mat crews cool under pressure. They are testing several different fabrics to line the inside of haz-mat suits.
Dr Donna Branson says not only would it help keep haz-mat crews cool, it could help revolutionize the way they do their jobs. â€œAnd hopefully it will be lightweight comfortable and be able to extend the amount of time the worker can stay in the environment.â€
The Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism is helping fund the 3-year project.
