Researchers at Oklahoma State University are doing their part to help fight terrorism.

They are trying to come up with a way to keep haz-mat crews cool under pressure. They are testing several different fabrics to line the inside of haz-mat suits.

Dr Donna Branson says not only would it help keep haz-mat crews cool, it could help revolutionize the way they do their jobs. “And hopefully it will be lightweight comfortable and be able to extend the amount of time the worker can stay in the environment.”

The Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism is helping fund the 3-year project.
