(Tulsa-AP) -- Embattled Williams Communications Group made a $50-million payment to its bank group Monday.
The move extends the company's emergence from federal Chapter eleven bankruptcy protection to October 15th.
The company also asked a New York bankruptcy judge to set an August 13th date for a hearing on the company's disclosure statement. The statement supports its bankruptcy reorganization plan.
If the court approves the plan it will be mailed to creditors who will vote on it.
