DALLAS (AP) _ Tony Curtis is tackling ``Some Like It Hot'' again, but not in the part that he originally played on screen.
In a stage production for the Dallas Summer Musicals, Curtis plays Osgood Fielding III, the Miami millionaire who falls in love with Daphne, a man who has escaped from the mob by dressing up as a woman.
In the 1959 movie version, Curtis played one of the two cross-dressing heroes, opposite Jack Lemmon and Marilyn Monroe.
The play is the first foray onto the musical stage for the 77-year-old actor known for ``Spartacus,'' ``The Defiant Ones'' and ``The Great Race.'' The musical comedy opens this week.
``I've done it once or twice before. Didn't like it at all,'' he said of theater work. ``I didn't like the material and didn't like the people I was working with.''
As for movies, Curtis is unhappy with most of the parts he is offered. ``I just don't want to play old on the screen,'' he told The Dallas Morning News on Sunday. ``I don't want to play old, period. Cary Grant didn't; why should I?''
