(Guymon-AP) -- The city of Guymon is taking Texas County to court over more than 448,000 dollars in taxes.
City officials maintain that the county owes the money in connection with a pork processing plant operated by Seaboard Farms.
The Guymon Industrial Authority issued 4.5 million dollars in bonds to help build the plant, which began operating in 1995.
The city's lawsuit against the county says additional ad valorem tax generated by the plant should be committed to repay the bond issue.
County officials contend they never were given a choice in the matter.
A Texas County judge will hear the case later this month.
