(St. Louis-AP) -- A LaBarge Incorporated plant in Tulsa will start producing parts for a complex radar system sometime in the next month or two.
St. Louis-based LaBarge announced Wednesday it was awarded a nine million dollar contract from Northrop Grumman to supply subsystems for its Multi-role Electronically Scanned Array, or MESA, radar system.
LaBarge says it will make complex electronic components that control the radar's ability to change the direction and scope of surveillance.
In addition to the Tulsa plant, the work is to be carried out at LaBarge plants in Joplin, Missouri, and Huntsville, Arkansas.
Production is expected to begin in August or September and continue through July of next year.
