A Creek County man has been sentenced to die for a murder nearly three years ago.

Calvin Lee Johnson was convicted of killing Russell Milton in October 1999. Authorities say Johnson went to Milton's home. They say he was angry because he though his girlfriend was seeing Milton.

Johnson's attorneys say their client is mentally retarded and not eligible for execution under a recent Supreme Court ruling. Prosecutors say IQ tests show Johnson is not retarded.
