Bartlesville employees are protesting more funds for baseball stadium improvements and cuts in the budget for city workers.
Upgrades at the Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium will cost 61-thousand dollars. Council member Earl Sears requested the funds to prepare for the upcoming American Legion World Series.
The president of the employee advisory committee says money for the stadium is totally inappropriate.
Next year's budget includes no pay increases for general employees and cuts in travel and equipment expenses.
