Work is in full swing morning to rebuild the I-40 bridge. Construction got underway Wednesday.

Construction crews began drilling a hole for the first concrete pillar replacement. They are digging 70-foot holes into the Arkansas River where the new pillars will eventually stand.

Crews can complete one hole a day; they have 9 holes and nine pillars to complete.
