(Norman-AP) -- Oklahoma guard Hollis Price will be on crutches about three weeks as he recovers from surgery on his left foot.

Doctors removed a calcium deposit and repaired a tendon in last week's operation.

Trainer Alex Brown says Price will need about 12 weeks to completely recover.

Coach Kelvin Sampson says it could be a blessing and give the OU senior time to rest.

Price averaged 16-point-five points last season and more than three rebounds.
