A Tulsa couple is safe today, thanks to a teenagers quick actions.

19-year-old Adam Evans was talking on his cell phone in his backyard this weekend when he saw smoke coming from a nearby house. He called 911 and then ran to the house at 33rd and Memorial and helped everyone get out.

Homeowner Bob Long says he's grateful for Evans' quick thinking. "The neighbor just pounded on the front door and says 'your house is on fire!' and we got out in a hurry, next thing we had seven fire trucks sitting in front of our house."

The house was heavily damaged. The cause is still not known but may have been started by an electrical problem.
