(Oklahoma City-AP) -- School officials in Dallas are using cable TV ads in Oklahoma City and Tulsa to try to find new teachers.
The ads began running this week and will continue through June. They're also being shown in Little Rock, Wichita, Shreveport Louisiana and Jackson Mississippi.
The Dallas school district is focusing on hiring certified teachers in kindergarten through third grade, including bilingual teachers.
Teachers who agree to teach in Dallas can receive as much as a 15-hundred-dollar signing bonus if they sign a contract in June. The bonus decreases to one-thousand dollars in July and 500 dollars in August.
