Tulsa Police are looking for the mother of a fetus that was found in north Tulsa earlier this week.

Police say a worker found the fetus in a sludge pit at the sewage treatment plant at 5655 North 105th East Avenue. The worker buried the fetus and then told his supervisor after feeling guilty about what heâ€™d done.

The remains were dug up Friday and taken to the medical examiner's office, which will determine whether the baby had been born.

Police believe someone left the fetus at the plant.
