Since the bridge collapse on I-40, traffic has been diverted through Gore and Webbers Falls.

Crews are working to widen an intersection in Gore to make it easier for big rigs to pass through the town. And officials are making sure small town roads can handle the traffic and the wear and tear.

Mayors from both communities say they will ask the state for emergency traffic signals to help handle the overflow of traffic.
