Sand Springs Police arrested an 18-year-old suspect Tuesday afternoon, who allegedly waved a pellet gun while driving by a school.
Early reports of shots being fired were not true according to police. Both Pratt Elementary and Boyd Junior High Schools were placed in lockdown, while police investigated.
Sand Springs Police Chief Daniel Bradley says the suspect drove back and forth in front of the school waving the pellet gun in the air.
Word of the incident spread quickly and worried parents rushed to the school to pickup their children. Students were let out of school two hours early.
