The preliminary Mayfest numbers are spelling success for the Tulsa Arts and Humanities Council.

Mayfest spokesman Michael Patton says total attendance was just fewer than 300,000 for the festival. Sunday was record-breaking when it came to sales of souvenirs, food and art.

Specific figures won't be released for a couple more weeks.
