Williams Energy names new chairman, president and CEO

TULSA, Okla. (Dow Jones/AP) _ Williams Energy Partners, a limited partnership controlled by energy firm Williams Cos., said Tuesday it had elected a new chairman and a new president and chief executive officer.

Tulsa-based Williams Energy, which stores, transports and distributes refined petroleum products and ammonia, said it elected Phil Wright as chairman and Don Wellendorf as president and CEO.

Wright will succeed Steve Malcolm, and Wallendorf will replace Malcolm as CEO and Wright as president. Malcolm, who's also CEO of Tulsa-based Williams Cos., will remain a director of the company.

Wellendorf will continue to serve as chief financial officer and treasurer for the company until a successor is named.
