WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ Wichita State scored three runs in the fourth inning on its way to a 5-1 victory over Oklahoma Monday night.
The Shockers improved to 40-12 with the victory, giving them 40 or more victories for the 25th consecutive season.
Oklahoma (31-22) scored in the second on a ground-rule double from Charlie Frasier, who advanced to third on a wild pitch then scored on a ground-out.
Wichita State came back to tie the game in the bottom of the second inning on an RBI single from Tanner Welch. The Shockers scored three more runs on five hits in the fourth to make the score 4-1, and later added another run in the seventh.
Shockers starter Mathew Jakubov (3-1) earned the victory, giving up one run on six hits, while striking out three over seven innings of work.
Michael Bradbury (3-2) picked up the loss for the Sooners, giving up four runs on eight hits while striking out three in 3 1/3 innings work.
