(Columbia, Missouri-AP) -- Sophomore point guard Wesley Stokes is leaving the University of Missouri.

Coach Quin Snyder announced today Stokes will transfer from the Big 12 school at the end of the current semester. He didn't say where Stokes intends to play.

The five-foot-ten Stokes averaged nearly six points per game last season and led the Tigers with 147 assists. He started 15 of Missouri's 36 games, but figured to play a backup role next season.
