Oklahoma bridges are falling down. According to a highway research group, Oklahoma is the worst in the nation for bridges needing repair or replacement.

The Road Information Program says about one-third of Oklahoma bridges longer than 20 feet are in bad shape and don't meet design standards. The report also says a third of the state's bridges have significant structural deterioration. That's the highest percentage of any state.

The average age of Oklahoma's bridges is 45 years. The report says most bridges have a design life of 40 to 50 years.
