US Congressman John Sullivan told hundreds of Tulsa high school students Monday about the mistakes he made with alcohol.
Representative Sullivan told an assembly at his alma mater Bishop Kelly about his alcohol use in high school. Brandon Silveria, who was seriously injured in an alcohol-related car accident, also shared his experience with the students. Sullivan says he'll continue to share his mistakes. "It puts a real person to make a mistakes, and I did. I made mistakes when I was a kid. I drank when I was a kid and I shouldn't have, and by the grace of God, I am not in the situation Brandon is in. I want to do all I can to help."
Sullivan says he plans to visit all of the high schools in the First District to share his message about underage drinking and driving.
