AUSTIN, Texas (AP) _ Two Oklahoma State errors on sacrifice bunt attempts triggered a four-run second inning, and the Texas Longhorns went on to beat the Cowboys 7-4 Sunday.

Texas (37-11, 15-6 Big 12) added another run in the third and Oklahoma State (29-15, 8-9) was unable to overcome that 5-0 deficit.

Alan Bomer (7-2) got the victory, allowing three runs, two of them unearned, on three hits and a walk in 5 1/3 innings. He struck out five. Eugene Espineli earned his first save of the season.

Oklahoma State starter Mike Patitucci (0-1) got the loss, giving up five runs, four of them unearned, on three hits. He struck out three but was hurt by the three errors behind him.

The Cowboys scored four runs between the fourth and seventh innings, but it was too little, too late. Three Texas errors helped the Cowboys score two runs in the fourth and one run in the seventh.

Dustin Majewski's second two-run homer in as many days wrapped up the Longhorns' scoring in the sixth inning.
