OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Texas is the No. 1 seed and defending champion Oklahoma is seeded No. 2 for the Big 12 softball tournament that begins Thursday in Oklahoma City.

The Longhorns clinched their first Big 12 regular-season championship by beating Oklahoma State 5-0 on Saturday behind a perfect game by Cat Osterman.

Texas (44-10, 17-1 Big 12) will play at 7:30 p.m. Thursday against the winner of a play-in game between Iowa State and Missouri. The loser of the Iowa State-Missouri game will be eliminated.

The other play-in game has Kansas playing Texas Tech, with the winner meeting Oklahoma (41-12, 14-2), also at 7:30 Thursday.

On Friday morning, fourth-seeded Baylor (45-16, 10-8) plays No. 5 seed Texas A&M (36-14, 9-9), and third-seeded Nebraska (42-11, 11-5) plays No. 6 seed Oklahoma State (29-21, 8-10).

The double-elimination tournament runs through Sunday at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.
