TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Oral Roberts got a pair of strong pitching performances to sweep a double header with Valparaiso on Saturday.
In the first game, six Golden Eagles (27-14, 4-0 Mid Continent) each drove in runs and David Humen (2-1) struck out five batters as ORU won 7-3.
The Crusaders (8-22-1, 2-2) took a 1-0 lead in the first with Brandon Sadler's RBI-double.
But ORU took the lead for good in the bottom of the inning when David Castillo was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and a run scored on a double play.
Wilton Reynolds hit his league-leading 12th home run of the season in the seventh.
Marc Boggio, Kyle Young and Sadler each had two hits to pace Valpo.
Boggio (1-4) also was the losing pitcher, allowing six runs and 10 hits in six innings.
In game two, Troy Pickford (4-1) struck out a career-high 14 batters over seven innings as the Golden Eagles won 12-2.
Pickford struck out eight of the first nine batters he faced and fanned Caleb Kimmel to end the game.
Sean Peickert (3-1) took the loss for Valpo, allowing eight runs on seven hits in 2 1/3 innings.
