OSU softball player receives top honor

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Softball player Jenny Kipp has been named the top female student-athlete at Oklahoma State University.

Kipp, a third baseman, is a four-year letter winner who has started all but one game in the past two years.

She was chosen for the award based on academics, athletics, community service and overall leadership during her time at OSU.

Kipp is pursuing a degree in marketing with a minor in public relations. She has been named to the Academic All-Big 12 first team three times, and is a three-time NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete.

On the field, she has twice been named to the All-Big 12 team.
