MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) _ Oklahoma State shot a first-round total of 293 to take a 13-stroke lead over Baylor and Oklahoma after the first round of the Big 12 women's golf championship Friday at Colbert Hills Golf Course.
Oklahoma State is five-over-par through the first round while the Bears and Sooners are tied for second with an 18-over-par 306. The Cowgirls' score ties the Big 12 Championship record for lowest team score in a round.
In the individual standings, Oklahoma State's Emma Zackrisson shot a tournament record three-under-par 69 to take the lead, while the Cowgirls' Christi Cano shot an even-par 72 to finish the day in second.
Oklahoma's Jennifer Tannehill is in third place after shooting one-over-par 73.
The tournament continues through Sunday.
